Collaboration Protocol between the Association for the Development of the Center Region, S.A. (Angola) and the Portuguese Federation of Pig Farmers, within the framework of the Portugal-Angola Seminar

On the 23rd of november, 2018, at the Portugal-Angola Economic Seminar that took place in Porto - and where the President of the Republic of Angola and the Portuguese Prime Minister were present - a Protocol of Collaboration was signed between the Association for the Development of the Center Region, S.A. (Associação de Desenvolvimento da Região Centro, S.A.), represented by Adérito Areias, and the Portuguese Federation of Pig Farmers (Federação Portuguesa de Suinicultores), represented by Diamantino Caçador, PLANAGRO's CFO, with the objective of developing the production line of pig farming in Benguela Province.

Following this agreement and answering to a request for collaboration from the Portuguese Federation of Pig Farmers,  PLANAGRO has made available to the Association for the Development of the Center Region, S.A. the Senior Consultant Prof. Dr. Luís Almeida, who for two weeks diagnosed the current situation in Benguela and tried to identify potential candidates to receive professional training in Portugal, ministered and funded by the Portuguese Federation of Pig Farmers.
